The general dentistry treatments we provide include:
Root Canal Treatment (also called Endodontics)
This may be needed when your tooth's pulp (inside your tooth) becomes affected by decay, injury or bacteria. If root canal treatment is not carried out the tooth may need to be removed. Our team can perform a root canal treatment to prevent infection spreading and attempt to help you preserve the tooth for as long as possible. You will receive local anesthetic before the treatment so the procedure should be painless. A root treatment can take 2 or more visits.
Ask a member of our team for more information.
Extractions (Removal of Teeth)
We try to preserve as many teeth as possible and avoid removing teeth. However sometimes it may be necessary. Tooth extractions are done under local anaesthetic so the treatment is pain free, you may feel a slight pressure around the area. We use gentle techniques to remove teeth and will give you post operative instructions to take home. After the extraction it is normal to experience slight swelling and tenderness in the area which can be relieved by over the counter painkillers. Should these symptoms worsen or swelling develops, you should contact the practice as soon as possible and we will arrange follow up care.
With so much to consider when you are expecting a baby, your teeth and oral health may be last on the agenda. However, this is one of the most important times to pay close attention to your teeth and gums. Pregnant women often experience bleeding/swollen gums due to hormone changes, dry mouth and erosion on teeth due to morning sickness.
We recommend you book in as soon as possible to ensure all round health.
Cosmetic dentistry treatment includes:
Do you have stained teeth that are making you feel insecure about smiling? Talk to our team about teeth whitening.
Staining of teeth can be caused by smoking, tea, coffee, certain foods and even medications. Teeth whitening done by a professional is safe, easy and painless.
Ask our team about our home teeth whitening system and our combination system and transform your smile in as little as 2 weeks!
Changing the metal coloured (silver/black) fillings in your teeth to tooth coloured or ‘white fillings’ is a safe procedure where the dentist can replace your metal or amalgam filling
and place an aesthetic alternative. This will give your teeth a more natural appearance.

Do you have chipped/discoloured/gappy or crooked teeth? Porcelain Veneers may be the answer. Porcelain veneers mimic natural teeth and don't require a major procedure. You can have 1 veneer ( a very thin layer of porcelain bonded to your natural tooth) or you can have several veneers resulting in a smile makeover.

Dental Crowns, sometimes known as caps can be used to protect weakened teeth. These can be natural tooth coloured (‘white crowns’) or Silver/Gold crowns- the choice is yours!

Dental bridges can be used to replace a missing tooth using a false tooth that attaches to the tooth/teeth next to it.
Dental bridges help in preventing your teeth next to the gap/opposite the gap from moving out of position. We provide different types of bridges including conservative/minimally invasive bridges that often require no preparation of any teeth. We also provide alternative bridges that require preparation. Ask one of our dentists to decide what is the best option for your smile.

Together we will create a treatment plan suited to you. If gum disease is left untreated it can lead to tooth loss atnd here is also evidence gum disease is linked to stroke and heart disease
